Natalia Koenigsberg is a contemporary painter whose artistic practice explores the possibility of a pictorial structure capable of initiating cognitive processes of human perception without the presence of sound, analogous to those that arise in the experience of musical perception.
Born in Kaliningrad, she spent her early years in the Baltic region, where from an early age she pursued parallel studies in academic painting and classical piano performance.
More than eleven years of professional training shaped two equally significant and complementary modes of artistic thinking.
Her many years of professional practice as a pianist became the foundation of her artistic research, in which the mode of thinking formed through performance practice determines the principles underlying the construction of pictorial space.
She later lived in Germany and Ukraine
She is currently based in the Netherlands
